As part of the seminar ” Theorie und Praxis der Denkmalpflege” (‘theory and practice of preservation of monuments’) I wanted to critically deal with the entity UNESCO World Heritage: In my homework on the subject, I invented the scenario that my hometown becomes a World Heritage site and very soon has to deal with the negative effects of the onset of the stream of tourists. In the end, the protagonists have to admit that their (marketing) title is more damaging than protecting the cultural asset.
